The Art of Manliness is a blog on manly best practices for modern living.ย Certainly comes across as gender-specific, and has a bit of campy and old-timey branding etc.
The patron saint of the Art of Manliness is Theodore Roosevelt, which helps put some of that into perspective.ย They are big into self-reliance and internalizing motivators and virtues.ย A lot of focus on self-development.
While undoubtedly some of the advice presented is more geared towards men, there is a lot of perspective that is universally beneficial in there.ย I have not done a deep-dive / readthrough of this blog as much as I have of some of the others, but there are definitely some noteworthy articles and pages.ย The authors, Brett & Kate McKay, are solid writers with some thoughtful considerations and great turns-of-phrase.
There is also a podcast, but I have not ventured down that path at all.ย Seems like some interesting topics covered, conversations had though.ย The site attempts to provide a comprehensive overview of the many different facets of life – style & grooming, sports, skills, career, relationships & family, virtue & personal development.
