This is an awesome blog full of analysis and unpacking the latest scientific thoughts about diabetes and obesity – diabesity, and the central impact that nutrition and hormones have on our weight.ย Dr Fung has made a practice out of helping people with their weightloss and diabetes, through primarily hormonal management and using techniques that focus mainly around what to eat and when to eat.ย I imagine he may still use some pharmaceutical interventions, but his primary levers, which all of us have access to, lie in what we eat, and how often.ย ย He has done an excellent job in his many series of showing the shortfalls with the ‘calories in-calories out’ model of understanding weight gain and loss, citing and exploring many relevant studies in the process.
I cannot recommend reading his many series enough if you are looking to gain an understanding of how to take control of your weight.
