This is likely the first or last book about dieting or exercise you will ever need to read. Tim Ferriss lays out a number of fairly comprehensive principles that help teach the reader about physiological systems in the body and how best to leverage them in order to maintain an optimal state of health. This book goes beyond just dieting, discussing topics such as injury-proofing, longevity and different body ‘hacks’ that one can use in effective self-management. I really appreciate the extent to which Ferriss emphasizes throughout that the goal is to teach you the principles so you can manage a system on your own, not just have to follow the system he laid out (which is also quite effective).
